After a tough loss to rival St. Louis Park, the Red Knights took to the road again to face the Totino-Grace Eagles. The Red Knights had defeated the Eagles earlier in the season by nine points, but the Eagles got their revenge this time handing the Red Knights a 52-42 loss. Both teams struggled to hit baskets during the first half, but in the second half, led by senior Reggie Meyer, the Eagles built an insurmountable lead and pulled away in the final minutes. The Red Knights’ four point halftime lead was quickly erased with junior Maxwell Walker hitting two threes and from there the Eagles controlled the game. The Red Knights leading scorer was Nick Birney with 15 points, but Meyer led all scorers with 25 and scored 12 of the Eagle’s 16 points in the first half. The Red Knights return to action on Saturday when they travel to Hopkins and face one of the top teams in the state.
