The Strokes – “One Way Trigger”

The first single, “One Way Trigger,” off The Strokes up and coming album titled “Comedown Machine” is catchy and brilliant. The song is more 80’s synth driven, and sounds similar to their most recent record, “Angles.” Lead singer, Julian Casablancas sings in a higher falsetto voice that bounces along to the beat of the song perfectly. Being the bands first single since 2011, “One Way Trigger” shows a newer, and more creative side to The Strokes, despite their garage rock reputation. Needless to say, “One Way Trigger” only increased the eagerness of The Strokes’ fans for the release of their fifth album on March 26.
