Girls’ hockey finished their last home stand with a 5-1 victory over the Eden Prairie Eagles on Thursday, January 31. The Red Knights put themselves on the board early when junior forward Brittany Wheeler fired a wrist shot past Eden Prairie’s goaltender, McKenzie Johnson, just five minutes into the game. BSM’s Kelly Pannek, a junior, added another goal towards the end of the first period to give BSM a 2-0 lead. Junior forward Caitlin Reilly would score a shorthanded goal in the second period, and Pannek would go on to add another goal and two assists, giving her five points total on the night. Junior Abbey Miller got the win in goal for BSM.
