As students pull into the junior parking lot in the middle of the winter while the snow is falling and the temperature is below zero, they stay in their car as long as possible to avoid the long, chilly walk to the building. To make matters worse, students have to wait their turn to cross the street from the junior lot to the BSM lot and they walk up to the school with a herd of others, all shivering. When they finally reach the doors to the school, their noses are running, their eyes are watering, and their bodies feel frozen.

Minnesota winters can be harsh even when dressed for the conditions but many students and even parents aren’t dressed appropriately.
When gloves, hats, jackets aren’t worn in cold weather you can’t expect to stay warm and when you wear shorts, T shirts, and go without socks in sub freezing temperatures you can’t expect to stay healthy. Every day I get cold just watching how some are dressed!
