Junior Brittany Wheeler scored twice for the number two ranked Red Knights as they proved themselves in a 3-1 victory over the Wayzata Trojans. Wheeler tallied the only mark in the first period with a goal off a pass from junior Kelly Pannek to get the Red Knights started. The second period featured an unassisted goal from Pannek, her 18th of the year. The Trojans struck first in the third to bring the game within one goal. Wheeler scored her second of the game just two minutes later to give the Red Knights some breathing room, with assists from Pannek and senior Madeline Carras. Abbey Miller stopped 11 of 12 shots in the win.
