The Knightettes were invited to perform their varsity jazz dance on Jan. 11 at the annual University of Minnesota’s Dance Team Best of the Best. Every year the U of M dance team makes selective picks of the top high school, college, and club dance teams in Minnesota. This is the second year the Knightettes performed their jazz routine along with high school teams from Edina, Brainerd, and Chaska. Also, some of the top colleges performed as well consisting of the University of St. Thomas, College of St. Benedict, and the University of Minnesota. A crowd favorite of the night was the hip hop team Exisdance who performed a wild, impressive, entertaining dance. “It was a really unique opportunity to be able to dance in front of large crowd and see college teams perform” varsity jazz dancer Grace Moran said.
