On Dec. 5, the Benilde-St. Margarets’ Knightettes participated in their first kick competition of the season at Columbia Heights High School. Eight schools competed at this competition including Spring Lake Park, Irondale, and Fridley –– three of the top kick schools in BSM’s conference. The Knightettes finished with first place and Fridley received second place. This was the first time in Knightettes’ history that they received first place in the first kick meet of the year. “This first competition really helped us feel in union as a team and helped boost our confidence. But we have a lot of hard competition from other schools coming up in the season, so we just have to keep pushing if we want the same results we won this past Wednesday,” junior captain Katie Segner said.
