In their second game, the girls’ basketball team defeated Duluth East by a 3 point margin of 43-40. The girls started off very well and ended the first half in the lead, but in the second half the Duluth East team came back with a 2-point lead. BSM secured the win when junior Liz Nicholson scored a layup and junior Grace Coughlin scored on her 2 free-throws given from a penalty. “I’m so glad that, despite everything that went wrong, we were able to pull out the win. It came right down to the end and we all made some important plays,” Nicholson said.
