For the past 13 years, members of the National Honor Society have hosted bi-annual blood drives at Benilde St. Margaret’s. This past week 46 BSM students donated their blood to help save lives. Seniors Elle Scott, Paige Aanestad and Luke Musech were the three chairs of the blood drive who made sure that the operation ran smoothly. “In the end, we collected 60 units of blood. Our goal was to collect 54, so we were really excited to have such a great turnout. In all, we potentially saved 152 lives which is amazing,” Scott said. Exceeding expectations, BSM hopes to have the same outcome at the next blood drive, in March.
