The Minnesota Football Coaches Association teamed up with the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund to raise money for cancer research. Each high school in the state is invited to host at least one of these “Tackle Cancer” nights during the season, but hosting more than one is optional. Randy Shaver talked to the BSM varsity football coaches who chose Friday, September 28, the night of the homecoming game, as BSM’s night to support the foundation. To this date the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund has raised $4 million and BSM was able to add another $1,746 to this total.
