This week, January 27th to the 29th, the BSM parent association will collect used cell phones to recycle through the company Shelter Alliance. After the phones leave BSM, the association will refurbish or recycle the cell phones and give them to people who are in need of affordable communication around the world. In addition to supporting a good cause, the money raised from this project will support specific BSM scholarships. Last year, BSM earned $1,156 from this drive, and the school hopes to raise more this year through this project.
To contribute to this project, bring used cellphones to homerooms after erasing its data. No chargers, manuals, or other accessories will be taken along with the phones.
