The girls’ basketball team beat rival school Robbinsdale Cooper with a 70-67 win on Tuesday, Jan. 10, ending Cooper’s five game winning streak. The Red Knights kept within reach in the second half after a two point halftime lead by the Hawks. With the game tied at 67 with less than a minute left on the clock, senior forward Khadijah Shumpert made a clutch free throw followed with a breakaway layup by sophomore guard Grace Coughlin. Shumpert scored 27 points, followed by senior guard Josie Dillon with 14. The win gives the Red Knights eight wins in their last nine games.
