Girls’ hockey shuts down Shakopee
December 12, 2011
The girls’ hockey team put another win on their record with a 5-1 victory over the Shakopee Sabres on December 8. BSM had a quick start with two first-period goals: one by sophomore Brittany Wheeler and one by sophomore Kelly Pannek. Both teams struggled to get the puck in the net in a scoreless second period. The Sabres scored early in the third period, giving the Red Knights the needed determination to fight back. The Red Knights then scored three goals by Wheeler, sophomore Kaylee Druk, and junior Liv Halverson.
