The Red Knights girls’ softball team fought hard in the first three innings of their May 9 game against the Totino-Grace Eagles, but lost their moral in the remainder of the game. The game ended in a loss and a final score of 0-10. “We were facing a pitcher who is already committed to Minnesota, so she’s going D1, [and] she’s amazing. We had trouble hitting her pitches,” said junior captain Grace Gallagher. The girls are now looking forward to their next game on May 11. “We definitely know some of our faults on defense, and we’ll be prepared for better pitching later on, so we’ll be better hitters,” said Gallagher.
