The girls’ softball team brought home another win for BSM on Monday, May 16, defeating the Fridley Tigers 20-14. Although the Red Knights started the game with a 12 run lead, the Tigers caught up and came within six runs, after BSM made the risky decision to put subs and a few JV players in, making the score 17-11 after the fifth inning. The Tigers then scored three more runs until the coach put in junior Amanda Johnson as pitching relief in the sixth and seventh innings. She pitched two shutout innings, and Tigers were defeated by just six runs at the end of the game.
