The Ash Wednesday Common Basket, directed toward the Brain Injury Association of Minnesota, brought in a substantial amount of money in support of the cause. Many students were inspired by the words of Joe Kopp, a victim of a serious brain injury who spoke at mass, resulting in the $2,051.68 that was raised. This Common Basket theme, developed by BSM’s science department, succeeded in bringing awareness about the dangers of brain injury and damage to the school community.
