The varsity boys hockey team faced off against the Wayzata Trojans in a heated section semi-final game on February 26. The Red Knights came out strong right from the beginning but were scored on halfway through the first period. Sophomore TJ Moore evened the score with only fifteen seconds left in the first period. The Trojans dominated the second period leaving the ice with a 5 to 1 lead over the Red Knights. Junior Christian Horn and Moore racked up two more goals in the third period, and with only one minute left in the game, BSM pulled the sophomore goaltender Justin Quale on a power play in an attempt to even up the score. Unfortunately this left the net open for the Trojans to score yet another goal. The final score of the game read 6 to 3, ending the Red Knights season with a record of 22 wins and 5 loses.
