Ever heard a really good song on TV and didn’t know what it was called? Not to worry, the life saver that is the Internet once again comes through for us so that we all don’t go crazy. Heardontv.com’s purpose is in its name: a resource to find songs that were heard on TV. User-generated, heardontv.com keeps record of songs from hundreds of popular TV shows, including “Gossip Girl,” “Lost,” and “Glee,” often pinpointing the exact time in an episode when the song plays. However, since it is the viewers who record the songs, many of the older, less popular shows are not on the website (sorry, no “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”). And for those who are absolutely addicted to TV and the Internet, heardontv.com has “cool links” to websites especially for the TV addicts in all of us–which may be a good thing or a bad thing… who needs to do homework?
