Each year, the Saint Paul Winter Carnival takes place at the end of January––just in time for when many Minnesotans become tired of the frigid weather. Rather than escaping the Minnesota winters, the community can gather and, together, celebrate everything our wonderful state has to offer. Skilled ice sculptors from around the country show off their talent by creating amazing sculptors. Whoever finds the medallion at the Saint Paul Winter Carnival Scavenger Hunt receives a big cash prize. People line the streets to watch the Torchlight Parade in the evening. From ice skating rinks to inflatable snow slides, the Carnival’s many enjoyable activities provides fun for all ages.
