For many students, January 9 is simply the last Friday before finals. However, for aspiring artists, it is also the deadline for Apotheosis submissions.
Advisers Mr. Tom Backen, Ms. Sue Jacobson, and Ms. Paula Leider and the student editorial board are looking for “drawings, paintings, silkscreen, clay, photography, short stories, and short plays,” said Ms. Jacobson.
While the team of selected juniors and seniors and teachers will review each individual submission, there is no limit for how many works can be published in the magazine. “If they’re all good, they’re all in, if they’re all bad, then there is [no Apotheosis],” Ms. Jacobson said.
The literary arts magazine will once again be available for purchase in the spring.
