New club creates new opportunities

Juniors Rebecca Zabezhinsky and Seoyoung Choi are adding a unique language to BSM’s repertoire with the up and coming sign language club.

Zabezhinsky and Choi created the club after doing research and discovering that there were very few local options for students who wanted to learn how to sign. “I thought that maybe if there was a club that people might be more aware of sign language,” said Choi.

She and Zabezhinsky have many activities, games, and videos planned for students. The sign language club is a great way for students to learn more about sign language while also having fun in a non-classroom environment, said Zabezhinsky. People who are interested can still join, and the meetings will be after school on Mondays.
