The wind did not blow in favor of the varsity baseball team who faced surprising defeat to Chisago Lakes on Tuesday, April 15. BSM played against Chisago in Chisago and the final score was BSM 7, Chisago 8.
Weather conditions—wind gusts of 18 miles per hour—were speculated a major factor in the outcome of the game. “Lynch hit a double off the wall that should have been a homerun if it wasn’t for the wind,” said senior Steve Zierke.
The team’s downfall last night was “pitching…we need less walks…we walk way too many people to win a game,” said Zierke.
Though BSM was up 5-0 in the beginning, it took a surprising turn for the worse that ended with a loss for BSM.
