St. Joan of Arc Church in south Minneapolis was filled with the voices of the BSM choir last Sunday, April 13, when they sang for the churches Sunday Mass. Ms. Nancy Stockhaus, the director of the BSM choir, also serves as the Music Minister at St. Joan of Arc. “The school is trying to recruit from that area of the city,” said Stockhaus. “We wanted to make an impression.” The choir, which consisted of volunteers from BSM’s concert and chamber choirs, sang in two separate Masses: at 11 and 9 o’clock. Each congregation consisted of roughly 600 people each. “They were very accepting…standing and clapping,” said junior choir member Michelle Brooks.
