For many BSM juniors and seniors, donating blood for the spring blood drive may not be an option. The spring blood drive was moved from before spring break to Wednesday, April 23. Ms. Mary Andersen, assistant principal, decided to make the change due to the end of the quarter. “I knew there would be a lot of testing and teachers wouldn’t want kids to miss class,” said Andersen. Even though many students would be ineligible due to their spring break trips, Andersen believes that having the drive the week before spring break would have been worse for the blood drive. “I didn’t want the blood drive to suffer,” said Andersen.
