After winning their first two games of the season, the BSM Boys’ Hockey team tallied their first loss of the season, losing to the Burnsville Blaze 6-3 in BSM’s home opener on Tuesday, December 2. After a first period Burnsville goal, senior captain Mark Kaske got the scoring going for the Red Knights. The back and forth scoring continued with a Burnsville goal less than 30 seconds later and a BSM goal a minute after that from junior Zach Risteau. After Burnsville scored again less than 5 minutes later, senior captain Chase Jungels scored unassisted to tie the game up at 3 apiece just over halfway into the game. The Blaze proved to be dominant after Jungels’ goal, as they scored one more in the second and added two in the third to win the game 6-3 and hand the Red Knights their first loss of the season. Next up, the Red Knights take on powerhouse Hill Murray at home on Saturday.
