Are you ever sitting at home late at night and you have to do your math homework, but you just don’t know how to? Well, use Yup. Yup is a math tutoring app that lets students access a tutor whenever they need it. Their on-demand service lets students connect with a tutor within 60 seconds. The tutors are matched with you for whatever you need. Their tutors are experts on subjects anywhere from early math to Calculus AB. It is perfect for any student in elementary school to high school. Yup is also backed up by some of the biggest names in education: Stanford University and Harvard.

Yup is such a nice alternative to going to an actual tutor. Going to a tutor is so expensive, but Yup has plans that vary from $89 to $149 a month. Also, going to an actual tutor can be a lot of work to get there. Middle school and high school kids have sports and clubs that cause them to have little free time and homework time. With Yup, it is so easy to get the help I need when I need it. You can also have the tutors respond faster or slower, so it works just right for anyone.

“The CEO started the company because his cousin always asked for help. The cousin was busy and couldn’t talk on the phone so messaging was easier.” Kreg Moccia, Director of Academics at Yup, said.

I got to favorite the tutors I like the most so I can match with them later.

I got the opportunity to try Yup, and I loved it. I used Yup for help on my math review packet. I took out my phone and connected with a tutor within seconds. It was so nice to have help that quickly. While my tutor was looking at the problem, I got to learn about some of their personal life and what they like to do and it made the experience a lot better. It made it a lot more personable and less awkward. I got to favorite the tutors I like the most so I can match with them later.

It is so much easier to use than other math help sites like Khan Academy. Khan Academy is a very good site for help but with Yup, students can get the answer right away. With other math help sites, students have to watch the whole video or search through the whole subject to look for the one thing you need help on. Even with this help, students might not get the exact answer they need. The Yup tutors help you with the problem all the way through and all the way until the answer. “It’s easy to just get help on certain subjects. With Kahn Academy, you have to watch the whole video to look for your one question,” Moccia said.

Yup is a very good app, and it is so affordable. It is so easy to use and is self-explanatory. The tutors are all so easy to work with and will do their best to accommodate anyone’s needs. They can go faster, slower, and more. It is overall a very good app and really helps. It is so accommodating and helpful.
