Online school is beneficial

Elizabeth Simpson, Staff Writer

To some, online school may be the end of the world––staying at home on a snow day with homework to do isn’t ideal. Nevertheless, I believe there are many benefits to it. First, you have the driving situation. With the past three online school days we had, it would have been rather hard to trust your car on the roads. Also driving in the snow and ice is not a risk worth taking. There is the benefit of staying in your pajamas the whole day and doing work from the comfort of your own home, which doesn’t cause anxiety. You also get to sleep in, which allows for you to get a good start to the day and it allows our brain to work better. This also goes into how we can take our time learning and working at our own pace instead of working against the clock which allows us to understand things a lot better. And when you need a break, you can just take one with no consequences. Furthermore, I felt like I completed all of my work much faster than I would during a whole school day, giving me more time for the rest of the day. In addition to that, PowerSchool Learning maede it pretty easy to use to find homework. It was almost easier that finding homework on regular school days. Online school to me was pretty great, I got to sleep in and and have a relaxing day while getting all of my school work done.
