Junior high learning specialist and English teacher Ms. Maureen Miller came from Blake middle school to bring her skills to BSM. Since she was working part-time and has a sophomore at BSM, Miller decided to apply for a job here.
After a visit and interview with senior high principal Dr. Susan Skinner, she felt that BSM was a good fit. She most enjoys the junior high age group since she believes it’s a good time to take risks while also developing good habits. She also enjoys working with students in her learning labs because she finds them to be resilient. Miller loves spending her free time in the outdoors with activities like walking; she goes outside every opportunity she gets.
She also enjoys watching shows on the Food Network. At BSM, since there is a new department surrounding the learning labs, Miller looks forward to working with other teachers as a part of a team. “It’s a new department this year for us with a full team, so I get to bring my skills as a team member,” Miller said.
