Creator of the Krazy Kat World Tour performs at BSM

January 13, 2016

Senior Peter McCague, recognized on stage as P3T3R, is known for his ambition to perform and his high-energy. This time, his enthusiasm has turned into a full-length show to benefit BSM’s Drama Department. His show, The Krazy Kat World Tour, will debut at 7 pm in the Hamburg Theater on Friday, January 15. This one-night-only extravaganza promises to feature the event of the century.

Nerves are starting to fly among the dancers and tech crew who are eager to show off their months of planning and weeks of practice. “This is the first time I have ever performed my songs and that makes it exciting in itself. On top of that, the show is going to be filled with exciting lights, dances, and energy,” McCague said.

The choreographers are also excited to see all their hard work pay off on show night. “It’s a fun time, it’s a pretty crazy show,” sophomore choreographer Maddie Schafer said.

McCague has been practicing, re-recording, and editing many of his songs to get them ready for the highly-anticipated, quickly approaching show. “This is something he’s been talking about since [our] freshman year, and I can’t wait to see it finally play out,” senior choreographer Natasha Wagner said.

McCague created a Facebook event inviting over 350 people to the show. The group’s description warns of  “an exciting night of cats, parody songs, dancing, and strobe lights.”

Tickets are $3 at all lunches starting Tuesday January 12, and will be charged to tuition. Tickets are also available at the door on show night for $5. “It’s [just] so funny, I can’t wait for everyone else to see it,” senior stage manager Ana Grace Alvarado said.

“Peter McCague will be a legend after this,” senior stage manager Emma Sather said.
