Both of these teams had matched up earlier in the year with the Royals defeating the Red Knights 11-0. Unfortunately, the Red Knights were unable to get the win with Hopkins winning this time 4-0. Nate Ellis pitched a complete game for the Royals and only allowed three hits. After the loss, the Red Knights faced the Richfield Spartans needing a win to extend their season. The Red Knights earned a 6-5 win in extra innings to keep their season alive. Dan Labosky went 4-for-5 on the game and recorded the game winning RBI. Mike Kaminski pitched all eight innings in the victory as the Red Knights advance further into sections where they will face the Armstrong Falcons.
