BSM’s Nordic team set out to compete in the second meet at Theodore Wirth Park of the season on Tuesday, December 18. Both boys’ and girls’ team had high finishers in the meet, but as a team they struggled.
The boys’ team finished 10th out of 11 schools. Junior Andrew Egger was BSM’s highest finisher in second place. He finished with a time of 18:08, just one second behind the winner. Egger, who missed the first race due to injury, was thrilled to be back skiing again. “It was disappointing missing the first race because of injury, but I am happy that I had a good race,” Egger said.
The girls’ team finished 9th out of 11 schools. In the skate skiing race, freshman Amanda Kautzer finished second, only to be beaten by a senior from Cooper. She skated a hard race and ended with a time of 22:13.
