Starting before school even began, Red Knight parents began lining up in the Haben Center lobby to buy their tickets to tonight boys’ State hockey game against Lakeville South at the Xcel Energy Center. As parents arrived, they were given a number and were told to wait in line until the tickets went on sale at 10 a.m.
Over 90 numbers were handed out to anxious hockey fans, and athletic director Mr. Jerry Pettinger managed the mob while one by one parents were allowed to start purchasing tickets. The final ticket had been sold to the 18th parent by 10:10 a.m., when the remaining parents were informed that any tickets left over from student sales would go on sale at 1 p.m. starting with whomever was 19th in line.
Mr. Pettinger told the mob of disappointed parents that a majority of tickets BSM was given would be saved for student priority. Students will be able to buy their tickets during their lunch periods today in the Great Hall.
