Freshman give back to the community

Freshman went to Feed My Starving Children on April 19 and 20 for a service opportunity that helped them to live out Christ’s mission. “It was really nice to get out of the stress of school to help the poor,” said freshman Helen Lindsay. During their religion class, Christology, freshman learned how Christ helped the poor. Besides connecting to what they are learning in class, the service opportunity gave freshman a chance to experience something unexpected: Freshmen grew closer to each other and got a new faith experience. “I felt that I got a little bit closer to the people in my class, and my faith was also deepened,” said Lindsay.
