As just a sophomore Jordyn Burns, a two year member of both the
girls’ varsity soccer and hockey teams, has excelled in both her
sports since entering high school. The forward earned an
All-Conference award in hockey last year as only a freshman; this
year she led her team in points with an impressive 41 by the end of
the season. Burns’ talents were recognized by KARE11 news when they
showcased her as a star athlete in their newscast on Tuesday, Feb.
3. Coaches and teammates see not only her talent, but her hard work
ethic and ability to play unselfishly for her team. “She is really
an awesome team player. She has a great attitude no matter if we
win or lose,” said junior captain Melissa Borer.
