Although there are a lot of fun projects at BSM, there are major ones that are more challenging every once in a while. For example, in Physical Science we recently did the “Egg Drop Project.” Yes, it was fun, but after the building and dropping was done, a portfolio was required for the group. It easily took more work than a lab or a small experiment. The portfolio required drawings of the design, results of the project, procedures to build an identical container and individual analysis questions on various parts of the project. This project proved that although there are major projects throughout the school year, there is no reason why they can’t be fun and informative at the same time.
