With the return of summer comes the return of a Walker Art Center fixture: mini golf. A favorite at the Walker Art Center in previous years, Walker on the Green: Artist-Designed Mini Golf has returned to the sculpture garden. The Walker takes the creativity outdoors as artists and designers were each asked to create a hole for either of the two seven-hole courses. Holes include designs created by students, members of the Walker’s Teen Council, as well as independent artists, architects, and design companies. The designs have been compiled to create a fun, inovative, and challenging course suitable for all ages. The course offers a host of distinct designs, most notably the hill created with pop-bottle tops, a wave crest of recycled glass, and a hole in which you must sink your putt into the mouth of Theodore Roosevelt. After a round or two, stop by the golf shack offering food from Wolfgang Puck’s Gallery 8 Café for a bite to eat.
