This spring, Chick-fil-A introduced a new range of drinks featuring the "Pineapple Dragonfruit Lemonade" flavor.
As spring has officially sprung, many look forward to any exciting “spring-like” items that might remind them of the brighter days ahead. Recently, Chick-fil-A released a new assortment of lemonades called “Spring’s Sweet Escape: Pineapple Dragon Fruit Beverages.” Chick-fil-A is famous for its delicious lemonades, so I just had to try the new Pineapple Dragon Fruit lemonade, and it sure didn’t disappoint.
The Pineapple Dragon Fruit flavoring is mixed with Chick-fil-A’s most famous drink, their lemonade. The new Pineapple Dragon Fruit drink comes in many different variations; you can order the frosted pineapple dragon fruit drink or the normal non-frozen one. There is also a variation where you can swap out the lemonade for iced-tea instead! I tried both the original and the frosted version, as they are the most popular. I usually enjoy pineapple and dragon fruit separately, but I didn’t know what to expect with the two mixed. I wasn’t sure about whether or not I would enjoy the drink, but I loved it!
The Pineapple Dragon Fruit Lemonade: This lemonade was questionable when I took my first sip. I didn’t know what to expect from pineapple and dragonfruit, but after about my third sip, I realized the two flavors complemented each other very well. What I enjoyed about the drink was that I could taste both the pineapple and dragon fruit on their own. The drink was very sweet, and while I enjoy sweet-tasting things, I let the ice dilute it a bit to reach the perfect flavor. It reminded me of something tropical, and for that, I enjoyed it even more. Overall, I loved this lemonade, and while it was a little overly-sweet at first, after a while I could not put the cup down. Out of 10, I would rate it a 9, and I would recommend this drink!
The Frosted Pineapple Dragon Fruit Lemonade: The frozen lemonade was also an enjoyable drink, but I preferred the non-frozen lemonade. It retained the same flavors as the regular lemonade, but the texture was completely different. The frozen lemonade was also less sweet, so if you tend to dislike very sweet things, maybe opt for the frozen version. Overall, I enjoyed this for a bit, but after a while, it got watery, and the frozen texture made it harder to drink. I would probably recommend this on a very hot day, but I wouldn’t order this on my own, so I rate it an overall 6/10.
I had high hopes for this lemonade to be a hit because of the pretty pink color of the drink. The pineapple dragon fruit lemonade has a bright pink hue, while the frosted version is a softer, light pink. Both drinks are eye-catching. Not only is the taste satisfactory, but the overall look of the lemonade makes me want to return to Chick-Fil-A solely for the new drink.
As someone who prefers noncarbonated drinks, this lemonade was a big hit, as it contained no carbonation. Besides the strong sweet flavor of the drink, the drink has a lot to offer, and that’s why, in my opinion, the Chick-fil-A lemonade is not only flavorful, but festive, and a great option as we approach spring.
