The iconic Adele makes a comeback in her third album “25” after a long three years without releasing any new music. Fans all around the world rejoiced when it was officially announced in October that the album was to be released on November 20, 2015. The album consists of eleven tearjerking tracks, but three bonus tracks are exclusively offered at Target. Adele has called this album a “make-up record,” as opposed to her second album, “21,” which she described as a “break-up record.”

Adele first entered the music scene in 2008 when she recorded her first record “19,” named after her age at the time. She quickly rose to fame after this release, and “19” quickly became number one on British charts. However, Adele did not become popular in America until later that year, when she performed on Saturday Night Live when Sarah Palin hosted. After that, her album reached number eleven on the Billboard 200 and everyone was hooked.

Her second album, “21”, was released in 2011, soon became number one in more than twenty six countries. “21” also received Grammy Awards for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. The next year, Adele announced she was writing and recording the theme song for the next James Bond movie, Skyfall. The song, titled Skyfall, was an overnight success and sold 261,000 copies within the first three days in America.

25 promises to be just as iconic as Adele’s previous album, and gives fans just what they were waiting for. The only single and first track on the album, “Hello,” was an instant success and became the first single ever to sell a million downloads in its first week in the US.

The second track, “Send My Love (To Your New Lover),” has a catchy tune and leaves listeners humming the chorus the rest of the day. One of the best songs on the album, “Water Under the Bridge,” has a compelling chorus and irresistible melody. Some other highlights include “Love in the Dark”, which has stunning strings and piano, and “Million Years Ago”, which has Spanish undertones and gorgeous lyrics.

Adele’s “25” lives up to the hype, and leaves fans eager for more. The album features many hits in the making, and was definitely worth the wait. “25” ensures that Adele is here to stay, and won’t be going away anytime soon.
