The BSM girls swim team finished off their season on a very high note, getting 9th place out of 40 teams at the 2015 MN State A Swimming & Diving Championships.  The Red Knights were extremely successful, having four individuals/teams that received All-State honors by scoring in the top 8 competitors of their respective events.

The meet got started for the Red Knights with senior captain Grace Hedin swimming in the Championship Final of the 200 yard Freestyle and earning 8th with a time of 1:57.02.

The meet continued for BSM in the Consolation Heat of the 50 yard Freestyle, where freshman Ava Schieffert and junior Maria Satre both swam.  Schieffert placed 11th with a time of 24.92, while Satre placed 13th by going 25.04.

After a long break for diving and the 100 yard Butterfly, Hedin followed her school record-breaking performance at Friday’s Prelims by going 53.79 in the 100 yard freestyle, good for a 7th place finish and another All-State medal.

The Red Knights had a great showing in their first relay of the afternoon, as Hedin, Satre, Schieffert, and junior Madison Semler teamed up in the 200 yard Freestyle Relay to get on the podium with a 4th place finish and a time of 1:38.82.

As their last race of the season, the four girls received All State medals again by going a 3:38.44 and finishing 6th in the 400 yard Freestyle Relay.  The meet was again very successful for the Red Knights, and this 9th place finish marks the fifth straight year that BSM girls swim has ranked in the top 10 at State as a team, and the highest finish since their 6th place mark in 2012.
