Q&A: Sophomore Ryan Lawyer
KE: How long have you played lacrosse?
RL: I started playing lacrosse in 6th grade, so this will be my 5th year of playing.
KE: Have you always played for BSM?
RL: I started playing lacrosse in Chicago on a community team for 6th and 7th graders. I’ve played at BSM since 8th grade.
KE: What were the tryouts like?
RL: Tryouts had their ups and downs, all around I thought they were fun but there were also some bad moments––one of my buddies barfed during an endurance drill.
KE: Do you play any other sports?
RL: I play football and hockey for BSM.
KE: How often do you practice?
RL: We practice everyday except Sunday during the regular season from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm after school then 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday.
KE: What else do you like to do when your not playing lacrosse?
RL: I’m pretty good at the Wii. Everyone’s about the [Xbox 360] these days, but I prefer a little Wii Sports action every now and then. I’m a pro in tennis and bowling.
KE: What is your goal for this season?
RL: My goal for this year is definitely to be state champs.
