After a two-game losing streak, the BSM Boys’ Hockey team got back to their winning ways  by defeating their section rival Eden Prairie Eagles, 2-1 on Friday, December 12.  Following a first period that saw no scoring, the second period ended with only one Eden Prairie goal.  Down by 1 going into the third, the Red Knights scored two goals in the late half of the period to get the victory.  With less than four minutes left to play, junior Nick Austin put the puck into the back of the net to tie the game at 1 apiece.  Then, with only 30 seconds remaining in regulation and the game seeming destined for overtime, senior captain Chase Jungels scored to win the game for BSM, 2-1. “It was our most important game due to section implications. We played probably the best game so far this year. It was frustrating not being rewarded for the way we were playing but it was awesome to see us pull it out in the last 5 minutes,” senior captain Ben Newhouse said.
