On a damp and dreary Wednesday, April 30, the Benilde-St. Margaret’s softball team beat the Spring Lake Park Panthers 2-0 in a fiercely contested affair. Crucial runs from junior captain Maddie Houlihan and sophomore Lilly Johnson provided the scoring from the Red Knights. Johnson also shined on the mound pitching a complete game and leading the Red Knights to their seventh win of the season. “Our team played very well considering the weather conditions.  Lilly pitched an amazing game and the defense was behind her the whole time.  We had clutch hits that won us the game,” Houlihan said.
