Boys’ soccer faces first loss of the season
The Red Knights boys’ soccer team struggled to score against conference opponent Spring Lake Park losing 1-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 4. From the start, the team put heavy pressure on the SLP defense and took many shots on the goal, but they were all saved or stopped by SLP defenders sliding into the goal. In the 48th minute, SLP slipped one by the Red Knights’ defense and scored the only goal of the game off a cross-body shot that went far post. The Red Knights fall to 12-2-1 will more than likely cause them to loose their second place state ranking as they go into the section playoffs.
