Pepitos –– 4820 Chicago Ave, Minneapolis
With authentic décor and food, walking into Pepito’s in Minneapolis feels like you have stepped straight into Mexico. With a wide variety of food, there are many options to choose from. Their tacos are served in a large, crispy shell with ripe tomatoes, melted cheese, iceberg lettuce and spicy ground beef. Another favorite is the enchilada, which has any sort of meat, lettuce, tomatoes and a special, tangy enchilada sauce poured over it.
Pepito’s is popular and is crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Since they don’t take reservations, plan on arriving early to ensure a table in the restaurant. Parking is on the street and is difficult to find when the restaurant is busy.
