Senior Luke Guidinger won an award from the MacPhail Center for Music for performing two songs in front of highly credited judges in a competition held for students enrolled in the Prelude program, a singer/actor group that helps teach highly skilled performers more about singing and acting. “We each had to sing an arts song and a song of our choice. We sang in front of judges who either worked in the Minnesota Opera or worked in the local theater district,” said Guidinger. Guidinger is proud to win the award for a second year and is excited to receive it. “I feel good. This is my second year winning it, so it feels great to receive [the award]” said Guidinger.
