BSM establishes anonymous bullying hotline
In light of National Bullying Awareness Month, on Monday, October 1, BSM launched the CyberBullyHotline. Partnering with SchoolReach, the BSM administration organized this anonymous outlet for students to communicate any bullying that is going on. Students can leave voicemails on the hotline or send text messages that will allow for interaction between the student and the CyberBullyHotline administrator. By having a hotline, BSM can best support the needs of the students regarding bullying and harassment issues that are specific to BSM. “BSM hopes to wipe out bullying so that all students feel safe. It is another tool for students to report bullying in the event that the student does not report bullying to an adult at BSM,” sophomore dean Mr. Keith Jones said.
