Juniors defeat reigning Powerpuff champions
Powerpuff football, one of the bigger Homecoming events, took place on the evening of Wednesday, September 26. Girls were divided into teams based on their grade and faced off against the other classes. This year the junior girls won a close game against the sophomores by a mere two points. By winning, the junior girls proceeded to the championship game against the defending champions, the seniors. Both the junior and senior grades had pieced together strong line-ups, but junior Liz Nicholson’s final reception in the senior girls’ end zone ended the seniors’ homecoming week winning streak. “All that went through my head was catching the ball” Nicholson said. Meanwhile, the sophomores beat freshman getting third place, effectively putting the freshman in last place.
