Rant: Adverbs

When people speak “incorrect” and don’t use adverbs “good,” my hair stands on end. For some reason this generation of students completely lacks the proper knowledge of adverbs. You are doing “well,” not good, you don’t go real fast, you go “really” fast, and the person in question is over “there,” not over their. The concept isn’t that difficult––if you’re describing an action, use an adverb. It’s not that hard. Maybe if high schoolers went back to grammar class, they’d stop speaking “incorrectly” and use adverbs “well.”
