The varsity boy’s tennis team beat rival St. Louis Park in their match on Wednesday, April 15. Both teams are considered the top teams in their conference, and the match was considered one of the biggest this season.
The match was close with BSM winning 4-3. Senior Brian McCarthy won at one singles, Ben Sauer won at three singles, Andrew Coleman won at four singles, and Parker Featherston and John Helms won at two doubles.
The competition was incredibly close with four matches going to three sets. Of these four matches, BSM and St. Louis Park each won two. McCarthy and Coleman both won for BSM while St. Louis Park took one and three doubles.
“It was a tough match for both teams with the win,” said Helms. “But everyone fought really hard and it was a huge win for the team.”
